high rocks

Well, here we are, a few days after the annual Motorcycle Picnic and coming to the end of a hectic and busy summer. It's been really great to see what all God is doing here in N Philly.

Today the fun days kids went rock climbing up at High Rocks...talk about an adventure! Although all went for the long van ride, only a few braved the rocks, but those that did proved triumphant! Trying their best on 3 routes on "practice face", some scampered up with ease while others needed a little prompting from their belay partners. After a tiring day, we enjoyed a scenic drive home along river road and some DQ treats too! Praise God for safety and the beauty of his creation.

MC Picnic

This year was the 6th annual Motorcyle Picnic and God really provided a beautiful day. After some really hot and then rainy days earlier in the week, the weather turned out to be a perfect 85 degrees and sunny. With about 30 kids and 15 bikes, it was a great turnout.
While some enjoyed riding motorcycles, others wetted themselves in the creek and entertained each other with the frogs and other creatures
they caught.
